Armed with red sticky dots we were asked to help him mark any paint issues or plaster imperfections so that the painters can repair them all when they come back to do the last of the painting.
While we were there we got to see the new oven and dishwasher.
Plus the semi frame-less shower screens and the mirrors.
And the lovely clear coats on the staircase.

Some of the temporary fence has also been removed and put to the side. I expect it was being picked up later today.
Our fencing contractor is on standby to commence the left hand fence and retaining wall on Monday 12th May (the same day as the removalists) so I may need to clone myself if Andy needs to go to work. Hopefully the rear fence will follow straight on from that. The people behind us are keen to cooperate but are having their fence included in their build package so we need to get their builder involved which complicates things a bit.
The bank did their inspection yesterday and we received the certificate of occupancy and passed it on to them this morning, so hopefully all is in order for our balance installment to be paid on time.
Hey, I'm building with plantation too... I was hoping to know if those stairs were stained durian timber or Tassie oak?

ReplyDeleteI also wanted to ask...we are using the exact same laminate cupboards in our kitchen, but We can decide between the luna white or New Diamond white bench tops for our kitchen! I notice you have them both in your bathroom and kitchen... what is your opinion on them in why you chose what you chose?
Hi Tim, we chose the New Diamond White benchtops in the kitchen because we have timber coloured (spotted gum laminate) floors in there, and the new diamond white is quite warm and tied everything in nicely. The Luna white is a slighly lighter/fresher colour in my opinion and looks good in our bathrooms where we have whiter cabinets and grey floor tiles. I think either would work with the Parchment laminate, it might just depend on your flooring and preferred splashback colours.We wanted a warm look in the kitchen, not a fresh clinical look.I hope that helps! :-)
